Summary

The purpose of this project is to perform a "hands-off" test deployment of EDAPTS, with the goal of understanding the commercialization of EDAPTS and documenting its results. By analyzing and documenting the effectiveness of the deployment process and successful operation of EDAPTS, the research team will be able to create a system deployment package complete with handbook to guide small- and medium-sized transit property owners through the replication of elements tested at both Cal Poly universities. Included in this handbook is an economic assessment and justification for EDAPTS and its developmental life cycle, funding, features, implementation sequence, maintenance, measures of success, public feedback, and subsystems.

Other deliverables consist of a final report describing the entire test process, a preliminary compilation of EDAPTS implementation steps, and a one-day workshop session at Caltrans (or another location if specified).
