The PATH Traffic Operations Program focuses on advancing the state-of-the-art in traffic management and traveler information systems, and producing results that can be implemented in the field. The research is undertaken by statewide research team of fifteen faculty and more than 40 graduate students and staff working closely with the program customers. Examples of ongoing projects include research on surveillance technologies, algorithms for data processing, fusion and analysis, development and application of analytical and simulation techniques, and formulation and testing of advanced operational strategies.
