Current Research

Deep Learning based Self-Localization

Commercial GPS is with the accuracy of 5-10 meters. The research focuses on precise localization based on deep learning methods and high definition map. The research is a joint work with Dr. Ching-Yao Chan and Professor Masayoshi Tomizuka.


Tianyi Li is currently a visiting research student with California PATH since January 2018. She is also a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. Her research interests include self-localization, machine learning, computer vision and their applications in autonomous driving.
